Twitter slams Stogie T over ‘go get a job’ comment

Veteran rapper, Stogie T became the subject of ridicule and criticism on social media platform, Twitter, on Monday after his supposedly carefree Tweet landed him in trouble with followers.

Stogie T whose real name is Tumi Molekane had taken to the channel to inform fans how a young dude stopped his car and asked if he wanted to listen to his rap. The controversial star shut him down and asked the upcomer to get a job instead.

“Young dude stopped me by the car, said ‘wanna hear the bars’ nah go get a job,” Stogie T Tweeted.

The “By Any Means“ hitmaker then went on justify his actions with some rather less than impressive reasons and excuse.

“Bro, you know how many bars I hear a week? Every time dudes is spitting in my face I am just thinking ‘it would cost me less to do the job application for them,” he defended.

As you can imagine, the response was swift and many fans criticised Stogie T for his lack of empathy; especially considering the fact that many of the upcoming rappers purchase and stream his music.

Some were even of the opinion Stogie T might later claim the glory in the event the upcoming rapper later becomes successful; possibly referencing the beef generated with Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick after last year’s SA Hip Hop Awards.
